Students will share their personal stories as well as share with educators strategies and tactics that helped them find academic and school success while facing the trauma of their past.
“Hey, throw them in a different room, they are ruining the learning environment for everyone” is a phrase that we hear a lot from other educators that need support for our kids. In this interactive presentation, I will share tools, strategies, and stories on my journey from being a one room schoolhouse to a success coach. It is a model that helps our neediest learners, while also being adaptive to the needs of the school. Leading this session is Jason Grabner, an At-Risk educator that has been a teacher, administrator, and success coach for the past 20 years.
We would like to share the nuts and bolts of our GED Option 2 Program. We have been able to successfully develop a program where students build relationships, explore post-secondary options, build confidence, and learn content and test taking strategies in a very supportive and nurturing environment.
